My Journey through Deep Underground Garage House music began in 1992, I dated a House Music scene Dancer named "Peace aka Ronald Moore". He kept asking me to join him at a local club called "Zanzibar" one night I decided to go check it out....While holding my hand with a gentle stare he escorted me through the crowd with smoke emerging from the floor...........Basically I was turned out ya'll....it was too much for my brain! with the music bassline, hooks, the energy, the mirrors but more importantly the passion...As I watched him work his body out....with his flips and foot work....I remember dancing in this circle the crowd formed...I felt as if I was experiencing a spiritual out of body experience....here we were a bunch of strangers smiling, laughing and hugging each other just because of this entity of energy coming from these records being played by the DJ which made us Feel Alive!......"Finally" by CeCe Peniston began to play....my heart beat faster as he bent down with sweat flowing down his cocoa toned well formed chest ....As his warm erotic fingertip touched my ear, I felt a tingle with slight vibration followed by a breeze of his Calvin Klein "Obsession" cologne. As his Dreadlocks swung across my cheeks he whispered, "Velva, I told you...it's like being Home with good music and friends , Let go baby....I Love you. That night...."Tears of Velva" was born.
